The St. Patrick's Christ Steps Ministries consist of:
CHILDRENS MINISTRYSt. Joseph Children’s Home
Craft Night—help children with crafts, games and snacks. Wed. evenings
Cake Booth at the annual Picnic
EACM Good Start for Kids—help provide diapers, clothes, baby food, etc to clients in need. Saturdays 10 am to 12 pm
Kid’s Café—Socialize with at-risk children during and after their dinner.
Birthright Pregnancy Care Center—Through counseling and resources, Birthright offers alternatives to abortion. Answer phones and counsel clients.
REFUGEE MINISTRYEACM ESL Language Class—assist with learning the English language. Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons.
English Conversation Club—Help people with learning or perfecting their English through conversation. 2:30 to 4:00 pm the fourth Saturday on each month
Centro Latino— A mission of Annunciation Church to support the needs of Latino and migrant workers in Shelbyville
Tutoring— Tutor adult women learning English at 10:15 to 11:30 am Wednesdays
Clothes Closet/Food Pantry—Sort through and organize donated items. 10 am to noon Monday-Thursdays
HUNGER MINISTRYMeals on Wheels— Drivers/substitutes to deliver meals to homebound. 10:30 am to 12 pm noon on a weekly rotation.
Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM) Food Drive—
Prepare paper bags
Pass out bags after Masses in July
Deliver Food—every Monday morning in July
EACM Food Pantry— fill food orders for clients
Franciscan Shelter House— Prepare and serve meals for the homeless. Flexible times between 6 am to 12:30 pm.
VETERANS / MILITARY MINISTRYVeteran’s Day Reception at St. Patrick— Weekend of November 11th & 12 th.

Letters, Care Packages, Etc for Military Personnel — Assist in preparation activities for support of our Troops. Help collect personal items and letters for them and also to send the items to our Troops.
NEEDS MINISTRYHabitat for Humanity— Hands-on construction of homes. Weekend & weekday times.

EACM Clothes Closet — Assist clients & organize clothes. Noon to 12:30 pm Monday thru Friday.
Lenten Collection — Coordinating team responsible for planning and implementing the Lenten Collection.
Assist with various tasks for the Lenten Collection
St. Vincent de Paul —
Furniture Drive—receive & load donated items. One weekend every three months after Mass.
Coat Drive— A coat drive organized by Youth Ministry
Angel Tree— Coordinating team responsible for panning and implementing the Angel Tree project.
Make Angel Tree bags
Work at Angel Tree after Masses.
Disaster Relief — committee called together as needed when a crisis occurs.
ENVIRONMENT MINISTRYBrightside — A civic group to promote environmental health.
Green Mile Program sponsored by St. Patrick
Community Clean-up Days throughout the year
Green Thumbs at St. Patrick — Seasonal Saturday mornings at St. Patrick to keep our house clean and beautiful
HOMELESS MINISTRYFranciscan Shelter House— Soup Kitchen and clothes closet for the homeless. Last Saturday or each month 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Set up Christmas Party
Clothes Closet—organize donated clothes and assist clients.
St. John’s Center — Day Center for homeless men.
Coffee Room—make and serve coffee for clients
Phone desk—answer calls, take messages for the men
Shower Area—hand out towels and hygiene products
Sign in desk—greet and sign in clients, check paperwork
HEALTH MINISTRYBlood Drive — Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Patrick
Give Blood & Assist at the St. Patrick Blood Drive
CPR Training — Red Cross offers training throughout the year for all parishioners.
EACM Health Resources— Nurses needed to consult with clients concerning medical and medication issues.
Hospice— Be a friend and companion to a hospice patient that is residing in a nursing home through Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville. Flexible time to participate.
ELDERLY/HOMEBOUND MINISTRYAdopt-a-Grandparent— Visit & help someone who is lonely, homebound or in a nursing home.
Pet Visiting Program— bring your pet to a nursing home
Repair Affair—Assist elderly with needed repairs to their homes.
DISABILITIES MINISTRYSt. Mary’s Center— Day care program for developmentally disabled adults and children.
Help students with games, activities, projects
Reading—read stories to students
Miscellaneous Repairs
Invitational Basketball Tournament for special needs teams
Repair Affair— for Louisville homes. Third Saturday in June
Accessibility Improvements— Improvements in the Louisville Metro area. Flexible times throughout the year.
YMCA TOPS Program— High School or adults coaches for teams with special needs participants. One time per week for six weeks. Teams include soccer, basketball and mixed sports.
The is a need for occupational and physical therapists as consultants.
