These
are some recent prints that I have made.
I
have been focusing on bottles because I believe that they have a certain human
characteristic about them.
This is Family of 5. This was a single run monoprint from
plexiglass. The print was painted on 3 different panes of glass.
The paint was reactivated with a thinner and then run through a printing press.
This is Bottles on table: A tribute to Morandi. Morandi
was a painter who primarily painted found objects and still life. Morandi
had a way of making the blandest desaturated colors beautiful, so this is a
tribute to his work and inspiration that has come over me. It is also a
monoprint, but was done in a series. The colors were highly desaturated
by the amount of thinner and by adding thinner to the paper before the addition
was run.
This is Standing Together. It is a small copper
print that was made using a sugar lift aquatint process, and a technique called
Au pupei, which is a printmaking method for applying color.
