Charlene was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Because of her husband’s military career, she has taught for the past 35 years not only in Illinois, but also in Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia. Charlene is very committed to Catholic education, as evidenced by the fact that her entire career has been spent teaching in the Catholic school system. Charlene received a BS in Education from Chicago State University, and she received a MA in Education from Bellarmine University.
For twelve years before coming to St. Patrick, Charlene served as the Assistant Principal at St. Bridget School in Richmond, Virginia, and she also taught Algebra I to eighth graders for high school credit. For two years prior to that she was the fifth grade math, science, and religion teacher at the same school. At St. Patrick School, Charlene has taught fifth grade math and religion for two years. This year will be her fourth year teaching 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th grade Algebra I.
Charlene and her husband, Joe, have been married for 44 years. They have two adult children living in Atlanta, Georgia and Singapore. Charlene and Joe are active members of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
