Brittany Howell

Brittany Howell has been a part of St. Patrick since August 2016, where she is the Technology Resource Teacher. She enjoys working with teachers and students throughout all grades and teaching the Technology Resource course in the middle school. Previously, Mrs. Howell was a Literacy Specialist for National Center for Families Learning, where she gained technology experience as the Community Manager for the website Wonderopolis, as well as presented at national conferences including NCTE and ISTE. Mrs. Howell is proud to have her interview published in an ISTE affiliated professional book titled, Make, Learn, Succeed: Building a Culture of Creativity in Your School. Collaborating with other educators is important to Mrs. Howell and she is honored to be a part of the Social Media Internship with the Educator Collaborative. Her teaching experience spans from first to third grade in both Oldham County Schools and JCPS.

Brittany is a native of Louisville and attended St. Margaret Mary and Assumption High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Business in Accounting at the University of Kentucky before deciding to go back and earn her teaching certificate at Indiana University Southeast. She has a Masters in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Reading also from Indiana University Southeast.

Outside of the classroom, Brittany is an advocate for animals.  She loves to read, spend time with her husband, Chris and together, they enjoy agility activities with their dog, Baxter. She is also in the process of obtaining her dog trainer certification.
