Nathan Sturtzel

Mr. Nathan Sturtzel became principal of St. Patrick Catholic School in July 2016. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Student Achievement. Nathan moved back home to Louisville after living and working in Tampa, FL.

He recently moved back home to Louisville after living and working in Tampa, FL. There he earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and principal certification from Saint Leo University, and he held a variety of teaching and administrative positions at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Mr. Sturtzel attended Catholic grade school at St. Martha and Trinity High School before obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Western Kentucky University. This included a stint of teaching and learning at Reial Monestir de Santa Isabel School in Barcelona, Spain.

Mr. Sturtzel loves serving as an educator, everything technology and Louisville sports, and spending time with his family, which includes his Aussie Levi, his wife Kailey, and their newborn son Gabriel. They are happy to be back in Louisville near family and friends and to serve the St. Patrick Catholic School community.
