The application submission period for the next Diaconate Formation Class will continue through May 2011. The five-year program begins on July 23, 2011. Those men and if married, wives, who are interested in exploring a call to the Diaconate in the Catholic Church are encouraged to attend and information session. However, this is not mandatory prior to submitting an application. The next two information sessions are on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.: August 8, 2010 @ Immaculate Conception (Bethany Center), 502 N. Fifth Ave, LaGrange, KY or October 17, 2010 at St. Edward, 9608 Sue Helen Dr., Jeffersontown, KY. Wives are encouraged to attend the information session. The decision to apply for the Diaconate is a married couple’s decision and wives do participate in the five-year formation process. Advance registration is not required.
