Shelley Spalding

Ms. Shelley Spalding is in her first year at St. Patrick as of July 2020. She is excited to experience the community and high-quality education here. Prior to St. Patrick she worked as program coordinator at the University of Louisville and completed her student teaching at Bardstown High School in Bardstown, KY. 

Ms. Spalding is a devout Catholic who grew up attending St. Augustine Catholic School in her hometown Lebanon, KY. She attended Marion County High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University. As of May 2020 she graduated from WKU with a master's degree in teaching and a master's degree in history. For the 2017-18 academic year, Ms. Spalding taught English in public schools in Asturias, Spain as a J. William Fulbright grantee. She loves incorporating international experiences and perspectives into the classroom as well as a little bit of EspaƱol! 

Ms. Spalding is a proud Kentuckian who enjoys traveling internationally and to American national parks, reading historical fiction, and practicing yoga. She loves living in Louisville where she can find the best casual dining in the USA and the best Bargain Hunt deals.
